About Château Boyd-Cantenac

Lord Jacques Boyd purchased the grounds of Sieur Bernard de Sainvincens in Castelnau-de-Médoc and founded the famous vineyard, “Boyd-Cantenac,” classified third growth in 1855. The Guillemet family purchased the famous Château in 1932. Lucien Guillemet created Joséphine de Boyd, a second wine of the Chateau. Produced by blending the grapes from young plants with other lots suited for wines consumed within 5 to 12 years after the harvest, it has the same profile as traditional Margaux wines: subtlety, complexity, finesse, intensity, and elegance.
