About Château Le Bonnat

In 1997, the Lesgourgues family acquired Chateau Le Bonnat. The vineyards sit on a magnificent terroir in the northern part of the Graves Appellation near the village of Saint Selve and the historical land of Montesquieu at La Brede. The 56 acres of vineyard are primarily Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, with small plots of Cabernet Franc, Semillon, and Sauvignon Blanc. 30-year-old vines grow on clay-gravel and chalky soil, ideal terroir for a low-yield production of aromatic and well-balanced wines.
