About Producer

“Kuranui” means “great treasure” in the South Island’s Māori language. Established in 2003, The estate’s 120 ha of vines lie in Awatere Valley, just south of Blenheim in New Zealand. Perched on elevated terraces 50 meters above the Atawere River, the geography and terroir are unique. Sitting high at 259 meters, it’s one of the highest-elevation vineyards in the region. The landscape, soil, and climate create the optimal growth environment for Sauvignon Blanc.
